Handelsbanken

Handelsbanken av solution

When Handelsbanken relocated to a new London workplace, the business took the opportunity to modernise its audio visual equipment and align it with both current ways of working and its long-term digital roadmap.

Our task was to design and deliver a complete AV solution to improve usability across meeting spaces, support collaboration and embed sustainability into the delivery approach.

Handelsbanken also required full digital signage deployment across reception, canteen and communal areas to support communication and engagement.

The project formed part of a wider fit-out programme and demanded close coordination with the appointed fit-out partner. Timelines were tight and delivery conditions challenging, requiring flexibility, strong collaboration and clear communication throughout.

Delivering a modern workplace

Meeting rooms of all sizes were equipped with modern collaboration technology designed to support hybrid working and global communication. The new fully equipped training room and technology-enhanced boardrooms provide flexible spaces for learning, leadership sessions and formal meetings, whilst informal collaboration areas support more agile ways of working.

The unified and intuitive AV estate ensures consistency across all rooms, ensuring users experience the same look, feel, and functionality wherever they work in the building.

Full digital signage throughout the office not only modernises the space but also supports internal communications, wayfinding, and general engagement, aiming to create a connected and informed workplace.

Reuse-first strategy and sustainability

A significant element of the project was the reuse of Handelsbanken’s existing screen estate, relocated from the previous office. Many of the displays were still in excellent condition, making them ideal for redeployment within the new space. This approach delivered substantial cost savings, reduced environmental impact and eliminated unnecessary waste.

Beyond displays, a wide range of AV equipment, including mounting hardware, video conferencing components and audio systems, was refurbished, relocated and recommissioned rather than replaced. This reuse-first strategy maximised value from existing investments while maintaining performance, reliability and user experience.

Modernised collaboration spaces

All meeting and collaboration spaces were designed with dual-purpose BYOD capability, allowing users to connect personal devices easily while also supporting structured room systems.

This enables Handelsbanken to transition to Microsoft Teams Rooms without additional infrastructure work. Including this in the initial deployment ensures alignment with Handelsbanken’s digital roadmap and avoids disruption later.

While displays were reused wherever possible, most of the video conferencing technology was no longer fit for purpose due to outdated software. All rooms were fitted with current-generation VC hardware that delivers standardised configurations and simplified user interfaces. This consistency improves ease of use, reduces support requirements and creates consistency for employees.

Existing systems, though previously fit for purpose, had been overtaken by newer solutions and changing user expectations.
